I take the transition of fragrances during the season changes very seriously. Personally during this time of year I like to smell like a beautiful spring bouquet with an undertone of musk, spice or oud to offset the sweetness and these 3 fragrances are absolutely perfect.
Hermes Twilly: This is a Floral fragrance with a spicy twist. It has top notes of Ginger, Bitter Orange and Bergamot; middle notes are Tuberose, Orange Blossom and Jasmine; base notes are Sandalwood and Vanilla. I absolutely love this fragrance its fresh, sweet and somewhat unexpected at the same time.
Chanel Coco Mademoiselle: This is categorised as an ‘Amber Floral’ even though it’s top notes are Orange, Mandarin Orange, Bergamot and Orange Blossom. I personally don’t really pick up on the more citrus notes (but I think we’ve established I’m not the best at describing fragrances by now haha). Either way it’s the middle and base notes that really shine through for me. Middle notes are Turkish Rose, Jasmine, Mimosa and Ylang-Ylang, whilst the base notes are Patchouli, White Musk, Vanilla, Vetiver, Tonka Bean and Opoponax. It’s the perfect combination of fresh, sweet and sensual.
Dior Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet: This is categorised as a ‘Floral’ fragrance and similar to Coco Mademoiselle, it also has a citrus top note of Sicilian Mandarin (which I also don’t pick up on). With middle notes of Pink Peony, Damask Rose, Apricot and Peach and a base note is White Musk, it’s not surprising that I’ve been gravitating even more to this lately.
