Self care is one of those buzz words that you hear all the time, but are not always sure what it means. For some it means going to an exercise class, or painting your nails. While for others it can mean doing absolutely nothing at all, or maybe just standing up for yourself in a circumstance when you otherwise would not have.
For me, self care varies from day to day depending on my mood and what I’m feeling but it always involves slowing down. Being intentionally mindful and listening to my body.
