I’ll admit I often forget about my blog. And that’s such a shame considering that blogging was my first venture into social media back in 2012. I’ll also admit that I became overwhelmed by the competition and discouraged by how slowly my “platform” grew in comparison to others. And if I’m being really honest that’s the main reason behind my inconsistency on ALL my platforms but especially my blog. No one likes to feel like they’re talking to no one. And with TikTok, Instagram, Youtube etc. do people even still care about blogs? I know I hardly ever do unless a Google search leads me to one.
But isn’t that the wrong attitude to have? Surely if I love doing something I should do it regardless of what anyone else thinks. That’s definitely what I’d tell the next person! (Side note – why is it so easy is it to give advice rather than take it?)
Today I started thinking as much as I LOVE creating and sharing video content, I miss the simplicity and ease of blogging. All you need is your words – and maybe a few pictures if you’re feeling fancy. And besides being therapeutic, I find that there is A LOT of information that could be shared more effectively and efficiently through a blog post. So long story short, I will be updating my blog more. With what you might ask? The same sorts of things I share on my Instagram and/or Youtube. Recipes, DIY, wellness, clean beauty, lifestyle, travel, entrepreneurship etc. Sometimes they’ll be a Youtube video to accompany that but for the most part I’d like to treat this as a space for content that doesn’t necessarily require a video.
I write this knowing I could be writing to myself. And still, I am excited to be writing again even if I am the only not reading it. However, if on the off-chance, you stumble on this, I hope you’re looking forward to more blog posts from me! And if you are, leave a comment to let me know.
Love,
Ifeyinwa

Yaassss, to be honest I don’t really lead blogs but as a run away blogger (covers face) I completely understand the therapeutic and simplistic nature of blogging. So I’d be joining you in reading your musings.
