I hate to jump on the “immunity drinks” bandwagon but with everything going on with Coronavirus at the moment I’ve been making this like CRAZY. Actually I started experimenting with turmeric tonics way back in December after catching the flu for the THIRD time in a row and I truly believe that this tonic WORKS!
After showing this a hundred times on my Instagram, I decided to finally make a video showing you exactly how I make my infamous turmeric tonic! I absolutely love it! Its super easy to make and so tasty so I’d definitely recommend trying it!
Ingredients
- 6 tablespoons fresh grated turmeric or 2 tablespoons of powdered turmeric (US) turmeric powder: https://amzn.to/2T2klHx (UK) turmeric powder: https://amzn.to/2WDyifN
- 6 tablespoons fresh grated ginger
- Juice from 4 – 5 oranges
- Juice from 2 – 3 lemons
- Cayenne pepper to taste
- Black pepper to taste

Method
- Add the turmeric, ginger, orange juice, lemon juice, black pepper and cayenne pepper to a pot and bring to a boil then allow to simmer for 5-10 minutes
- Remove from heat then add in honey
- Allow the tonic to cool then transfer to an airtight bottle and refrigerate
- To serve, drink on its own as a shot, add it to your smoothies or juice or add to warm water and drink as a tea
