Hi Guys,
So I’ve been getting a lot of questions and emails on what I eat recently so I thought it’d be fun to start a food diary on here and show you what I eat one day out of the week. I also love this idea because it means they’ll be a food post every week and we all know how much I love cooking and food. So here we go, let me know what you think about the series:)
Breakfast
Sencha Green Tea and a bowl of Cinnamon Honey Bunches cereal with soy milk
I love starting off my morning with a cup of green tea. I got this tea from my trip to Japan so its super authentic. I don’t have a tea strainer (please let me know where/if I can get one here) so that’s why the leaves and stalks float around at the top but I just scoop it out and it’s fine.
Lunch
Santa Fe Salad from Chocolate Royale, N3,100
I’m really trying to get more excited about salads and I find that not making them myself helps lol. It might not look like much but this salads was really good. It’s got grilled chicken, avocado, black beans, sweet corn and cheddar cheese on iceberg lettuce. But the best part was the sweet lemon dressing. OMG! It was so good.
Dinner
Mixed Quinoa, Chicken Stew and Vegetables
I got the quinoa from Gravitas Supermarket on Fola Osibo, Lekki Phase One for N1,850! Steal! This was my first time trying this kind of quinoa and the different textures of the white, red and black quinoa takes some getting used to, but overall I think quinoa is a great substitute for rice. It’s high in protein and really filling, plus this is the cheapest quinoa I’ve found in Nigeria, will definitely be stocking up.
What did you eat today?
