I’m sorry this didn’t go up yesterday! I had an issue scheduling my posts yesterday. Anyway I thought I’d share a pretty awesome jewelry store I found recently. It’s called Pot of God and as you’d expect they specialise in gold (solid gold and gold-filled jewelry). The store is based in Lekki and is owned by a lovely woman called Ebun, and I was just impressed with the quality of service and uniqueness of her pieces so I thought I’d share them with you.
I picked up 3 pairs of gold-filled earrings. (And if like me you’ve never heard of gold filled jewelery before, here’s a little research I did online for you:) Gold filled basically means that the jewelry is made up of a solid layer of gold bonded with heat and pressure to a base metal such as brass. Don’t confuse it with gold plating though because that contains a much smaller percentage of gold and goes through a completely different process. Gold filler jewelry is better quality and is less likely to flake, rub off or tarnish than gold plated jewelry. And apparently since the outer surface is made from pure gold anyone that’s allergic to costume jewelry shouldn’t have a problem wearing gold filled jewelry.
I got 3 pairs of gold filled earrings and I thought they were really unique and reasonably priced! The studs were N5,000 each and the dangly leaf earrings are N10,000. Each pair came in a standard black velvet jewelry drawstring bag, I think they’d make a cute gift too.

The studs the studs are beautiful… I've come acros POG a number of times, and I remember asking about their prices, only to be told something I thought was ridiculous, but 5000 doesn't sound bad at all.
I really like the dangly leafy ones.. But these are all gorge! I've got to check out that store!
