The shampoo for me was hands down my favourite product of the bunch. For a sulphate-free shampoo it formed so many suds which I loved but didn’t leave my hair feeling stripped at all. I washed my hair twice with this and I really loved it.
Raw Shea Butter Restorative Conditioner
The conditioner described as a “leave-in or rinse out conditioner detangles, moisturises, repairs and restores lifeless damaged hair”. It’s very thick and creamy. I used it as a rinse-out conditioner and honestly didn’t love it. I found it absolutely useless as a detangler as it had zero slip for my hair so I just gave up on that. As far as moisturising it definitely did that. My hair didn’t feel dry after using it but this product generally left me feeling underwhelmed. It fared a lot better for me as a leave-in on dry hair though. It left my hair feeling moisturised and I will definitely use it this way in the future.
I loved the consistency of this. It was so thick and creamy which is exactly what I look for in deep conditioner. I saturated this in my hair and sat under my steamer for 30 minutes. I honestly can’t say anything bad about it but usually after steaming with my concoction of oils and conditioners it feels very soft and this product didn’t do that. My hair did feel strengthened afterwards though. So I would use it again perhaps after taking a weave or braids out. I also used this on my mother’ hair. She’s relaxed and I put this on her hair and she sat under my steamer as well. She really liked this product so maybe it works better on relaxed hair? Not so sure, but I personally wouldn’t repurchase this.
So all in all, it was another lacklustre Shea Moisture experience for me. I’ve concluded that their range just doesn’t work well with my hair but having said that their shampoos are the BOMB and I’ll definitely be stocking up on those in the future.
What’s your experience been with the Shea Moisture range?

Nice review! I recently just purchased the Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie (only because it was on sale, 2 for 1!) which is my first ever Shea Moisture product purchase. It's so expensive in the UK so I've just steered clear of the line before… hope I'm not disappointed 🙁

I really like the shampoo too, it was the shampoo that got me. I used the restorative conditioner as a daily conditioner and it wasn't bad at all. I think the range isn't bad.
