Hi Guys,
As you know last week was the 6th edition of Naturals in the City hosted by Natural Nigerian and it was even more amazing than the last one! The format was the same with various talks throughout the day and different hair product vendors but I felt like it was bigger this time around. There seemed to be a greater awareness for natural hair amongst the attendees, loads more people and there was even a camera crew from hiTV (that I actively avoided lol)
I’m always so inspired by the people at these meet-ups. Without getting too sappy, any event that brings women together for the purpose of helping build each other up is always a beautiful thing. How often in real life do you get to trade beauty, hair and fashion secrets with strangers? Never. Everyone was so friendly, open and honest. Someone even asked me if they could feel my hair and it was totally NOT weird lol. The vibe is just so unlike any thing I’ve experienced.
It was also so amazing to meet so many of my readers! This was the first time I ever had strangers coming up to tell me they read my blog. I was way too excited though. I know you’re supposed to be cool about these things but I can’t express how happy this made me. It just motivates me to work harder and keep blogging for you guys. Anyways enough waffling from me, here’s what you’ve been waiting for – the pictures!
