Hey Guys!
Its pretty remarkable how simple it is to make your own granola. As well as being super easy, making your own granola is great because you can play around with the ingredients and use whatever you have in your kitchen. You can also vary the sugar content to suit your taste, making a much healthier alternative to the sugar and preservative-loaded varieties you’ll find boxed in the cereal section.
Here’s what you’ll need:
3 cups of old-fashioned oats
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 tbsp cinnamon
1/2 cup flaxseeds
1/2 cup dried cranberries or raisins
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 tbsp maple syrup
6 tbsp canola oil
1 cup of your favourite nuts
(I recommend walnuts almonds, hazlenuts, unsalted cashews, or almonds)
Preheat your oven to 325F/200C – Lightly grease your baking tray and place to the side – Mix all ingredients in a large mixing bowl
Spread the mixture onto your baking tray – Place in oven for 15 minutes
Turn granola over after 15 minutes and allow to toast for an additional 15 minutes or until desired brownness is achieved – Remove from oven and allow to cool – Transfer to an airtight container and store
Voila! How easy is that? If stored in an airtight container your granola can last for two weeks! Other ingredients you can try are flaked coconut, orange zest, bananas, nutmeg- honestly anything goes! I love having my granola with yogurt as a quick healthy breakfast or alone as a snack.
Lemme know what you think, happy cooking!

I should totally try this out!
Where'd you get your ingredients? I should know but I'm too lazy to figure it out right now.

Hiya! I got everything from Shoprite in VI (I think it was a while ago lol)The flaxseeds I got from http://www.naturalnigerian.com but I've found flaxseeds in the Health Plus at Palms and a few other supermarkets too. Good luck x
