Aloha Lovelies,
Of all the long winded beauty routines out there to me cleaning my makeup brushes is the absolute worst. I don’t know why but I find it especially boring and tedious. Unfortunately what this means for me is that I hardly ever wash my brushes which is really disgusting and especially bad because I have acne-prone skin. So when I found out about the Sigma Dry’n Shape a little miracle worker thats supposed to dry and shape your brushes in 4 to 6 hours I just had to try it! It’s supposedly uses a special fabric that applies pressure to the bristles and allows water evaporation during the drying process. Awesome right?
Anyways I decided to give it a go the other day and here’s what I did:
Step 1: Wash your makeup brushes as normal. I love the MAC Brush Cleaner I find that it works into the brushes and cleans them really quickly but if you can’t get hold of that, another good alternative is baby shampoo
Step 2: Gently squeeze the excess water out of the bushes and put the damp brushes into the Dry n’Shape using the smallest band the the brush will fit into. Be sure that ask the bristles are firmly compressed.
Step 3: Wait 4 to 6 hours and take your brushes out of the Dry n’shape.
6 hours later and I couldn’t believe the results, not only were they completely dry, they looked brand new! However I did find that it was really hard getting the big brushes into the Dry’n Shape. My kabuki brush was a massive struggle and I even ripped the leather a little but trying to get it in. All in all I would definitely recommend this product. I found it really useful and it makes an otherwise annoying process pretty simple. They retail for $32 and you car order yours now from here
